Dine and Design is a paint and sip concept “with a 90’s millennial twist” that brings the food, drinks, and painting to your door. Whether your hosting a party or simply having a few friends over, Dine and Design will provide the painting tools, instruction, cocktails, and chef-prepared food.
Until now, it appears Dine and Design has been strictly mobile, either setting up shop in your home or at a third party venue. Now, it looks like the painting studio is getting its own spot. The new space shares a plaza near Piedmont Park with live music venue Red Light Cafe and tutoring service Mathnasium, among other businesses.
What Now Atlanta reached out to Jackson, who also owns Flowood, Mississippi’s The Dapper Doughnut and Mississippi-based indoor playground Kidz-N-Play, but the Dine and Design owner was not immediately available for comment.
If there’s one thing we know for sure about 2021, it’s that people are ready to get out of their houses. Dine and Design’s brick-and-mortar could be just the outing you’ve been looking for. Hey, we’re no artists, but if food and drinks are involved, we’ll happily paint our night away.

That entire development has become a huge eyesore ever since Avana burned down a few years ago (and it was trending down even before then).
Chili’s, Urban Flats, Five Guys, and even Taco Mac have left as crime, homelessness, and a general lack of upkeep have made Lindbergh entirely unsafe for families (there have been multiple shootings in the apartments just across the street by Home Depot too). They can open as many new concepts as they like, but until people feel safe walking around there to grab a bite to eat, I am not sure how successful these efforts will be.
These restaurant concepts sound exciting. The elephant in the room is the criminal activity will not go away just by making the space look great and having new restaurants. It may make it worse. I hope they can figure it out.
