With the opening, Co-Owners Ash Nega and Titi Demissie now operate three locations. The couple — both born and raised in Ethiopia — met in Atlanta and opened the original Desta in 2006, at 3086 Briarcliff Rd in the Williamsburg Village, according to the restaurant’s website. Desta’s second location is situated in Emory Point, having replaced BurgerFi, at 1520 avenue place NE B1 #140.

Atlantans can expect “the same great Ethiopian Food that you’ve come to know and love from Desta, like Prime meats, Chicken, Fish, Vegetarian, and Vegan dishes, but at our all-new location,” at the new restaurant.

Desta Westside Village is open daily from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Westside Village is a nearly 100,000 square-foot mixed-use development by partners Eden Rock Real Estate Partners, Stein Investment Group, and Frank Buonanotte.

The development was sold this month to an undisclosed buyer, Brandon Ashkouti, a partner at Eden Rock, announced on social media this week. Ashkouti did not immediately respond to What Now Atlanta’s request for comment but said details would be shared in the new year.

“I would like to offer my sincere thanks to our Partners at Stein Investment Group for their leadership and value creation through the construction, leasing, and management of the project,” Ashkouti posted to social media. “To Frank Buonanotte, for his incredible leasing talent and especially for his careful management of our tenant relationships through the past 20+ months of COVID.”
