This Is No Small Beer

Luckie Marietta District, a distinguished downtown destination with 24 restaurants, 16 attractions and retail and six hotels, is receiving their newest restaurant, Der Biergarten.

Buckhead Murals was on location today painting the restaurants name and graphics directly to the space creating signage that appears three dimensional.

Owned by Legacy Property Group LLC, this German restaurant and beer garden is slated to open in September at 300 Marietta St. in time for Oktoberfest (the German festival where you drink a lot of beer surrounded by people in Lederhosen while listening to Oompah music).

Chef Don Diem leads the culinary team at Der Biergarten, and the German menu will feature Brats and wursts (German sausages), strudels, pretzels and mustards. Matt Youhess, beer expert and enthusiast, has hand selected the beer library for Der Biergarten.

Guests can choose from a dozen authentic German draft beers ranging from light to dark and representing various regions of the country. Featured classic German Draft beers include Weihenstephan, crafted by worlds oldest commercial brewery, to Warsteiner and Spaten. Beer will be served in traditional half and one-liter steins.
