Delbar is set to open in Buckhead on Nov. 18, 2024. The new restaurant joins Delbar’s other locations in Atlanta’s Inman Park neighborhood and Alpharetta.
The new location at the corner of Peachtree and West Paces Ferry roads will be open seven days a week for dinner and weekend brunch with lunch launching next month. Guests can expect the simple and comforting Middle Eastern dishes Delbar is known for, many of which are drawn from owner and native Iranian Fares Kargar’s family recipes.
The brunch and dinner menus include a collaboration of favorite and new dishes from Kargar, Culinary Director Jonathan Rohland, and new Buckhead Chef de Cuisine Jordan Melrose. Classic favorites include shareable spreads such as hummus garnished with crispy chickpea and sumac; “mazze” (small bites); meats; and “greens and grains.” New dessert dishes include Tahini & Honey Soft Serve and Persian Tea Flan. Housemade condiments, made-from-scratch taftoun bread and other bakery items will also be offered.
The restaurant will also feature fresh, new cocktails with two different menus available at the indoor and outdoor bars. The beverage program is centered around Middle Eastern flavors, with ingredients and spices imported directly from Iran like fresh barberries, cardamom, persian dried lime and sour cherries. The beverage list also features draft beer, Mediterranean natural wines and refreshing sharbats, non-alcoholic drinks made from fruit and flowers.
“Our team is thrilled to finally bring Delbar to Buckhead,” Kargar said in a statement. “This beautiful new space will enable us to offer more outdoor dining, live entertainment, new menu items and unique private events.”
The 6,000-square-foot restaurant, inspired by the countryside in Iran where Kargar’s grandmother resides, features 16-foot ceilings, light, earth-toned walls, antique textiles, natural finishes and rustic wooden touches, and lush greenery draped throughout.
There is a main dining room and indoor bar as well as a covered outdoor patio and bar that will feature live entertainment on weekends. A private dining room seats up to 16 people, and a mezzanine private event space overlooking the dining room seats up to 40 people.
Delbar will be open 4 to 10 p.m. Sunday to Thursday, 4 to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and for brunch 11 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
