Delbar is set to open at 4120 Old Milton Pkwy in space once home to Traditions Indian Cuisine. Kargar — who also worked with Jacobson on securing leases for Delbar in Inman Park and Buckhead — has acquired the property.

Translating to “heart, captured” in Farsi, “Delbar” is said to be a love letter to the “influential dishes that shaped Fares Kargar’s youth and the women in his life who instilled his deep appreciation for Middle Eastern cooking,” according to the restaurant’s website. “When you enter our Delbar we want you to feel like you have met new friends — a new family — who will guide you through our region’s most memorable offerings, we hope to transport you to country sides of Iran, where we all sit around the table and wait to be blown away by our mothers and grandmothers cooking while enjoying the company of our favorite people,” Kargar writes on the Delbar website.

Currently operating its Inman Park outpost, a location in Buckhead is set to soon debut as part of The Gentry, as previously reported by What Now Atlanta. Plans also call for a Persian food hall in Ponce City Market from the Delbar team.
