According to its official website, Delbar, which translates to “heart, captured” in Farsi, “is a love letter to the influential dishes that shaped (Owner) Fares Kargar’s youth and the women in his life who instilled his deep appreciation for Middle Eastern cooking.” Delbar transports guests to the countryside of Iran with traditional, generations-long recipes.
Delbar offers an exquisite menu of Middle Eastern fare, featuring flavorful, quality meats and greens such as the Adas Polo (tahdig, lentil, raisin, saffron basmati) and the Lubia Polo (potato tahdig, beef tips, tomato, green bean, basmati rice). Additional highlights on its delectable menu are the Koobideh Kabob (minced lamb, beef, onion, saffron); Chinjeh (prime beef sirloin, saffron onion, yogurt); and Lamb Shawarma. Delbar also offers a tantalizing selection of craft beer, wines, and vibrant cocktails like the Saudi Money (bourbon, Amaro, lime, tart cherry).
Although an official opening date has not yet been announced, we’ll be sure to keep you updated on when to make that special reservation at Delbar’s new location in Buckhead.
