The entertainment center at 2215 D and B Drive SE is planning a partial remodel, according to construction plans.
The scope of work includes both interior and exterior renovation, including the dining rooms, arcade and gaming area, and the main entry. The exterior finishes will be updated to “align with the latest branding package and colors.” The restrooms, back-of-house spaces, and kitchen and bar equipment will remain.
The entertainment center in Marietta is approximately 53,560 square feet. It first opened in 1992. According to marietta.com, this location was the company’s fourth in the nation.
In addition to games, Dave & Buster’s offers a full food and beverage menu, featuring shareable appetizers, flatbreads, wings, burgers, cocktails and more.
The idea for the business sparked in the late 1970s when a restaurant (owned by Buster) joined forces with a nearby entertainment and game center (the work of Dave). The first official Dave & Buster’s location opened in Dallas, Texas, in 1982. There are now more than 150 locations, including six in Georgia: Marietta, Alpharetta, Lawrenceville, McDonough, Augusta and Pooler.
Representatives could not immediately be reached for information about if or when the Marietta location will be closed during the remodel.
