D Café & Catering, the brunch spot on Ralph David Abernathy Blvd, is on the cusp of introducing a new feature: The Lounge. The Lounge at D Café will open in the brand’s newly remodeled event space, according to social media. A liquor license application filed with the City of Atlanta indicates The Lounge will serve wine, beer, and spirits and seat 20 patrons, with bar space accommodating an additional 8.

D Café & Catering is the work of Devotis ‘Mrs. D’ and Alexis Lee. Led by Executive Chef Robert Allen, or Chef G, D Café serves from-scratch plates for brunch like the Cascade Shrimp and Grits, Old Fourth Ward Omelette, Sweet Auburn Salmon, and Bankhead Burger.

The cafe is currently open Tuesday-Saturday from 9AM to 3PM. In addition, the company offers custom catering, and soon The Lounge, which will extend D Café’s hours from 9AM to 8PM, according to the application.

We reached out to Lee and are awaiting further details regarding the drink program and projected timeline for The Lounge’s official opening. A recent social media post indicates patrons can “preview” the space this coming Sunday by RSVPing for D Café’s Superbowl Tailgate and Viewing Party.
