Some of the restaurateurs behind the popular gastropub Cypress Street Pint and Plate including Billy Streck, are planning a new Midtown concept.

A building permit application was submitted to City of Atlanta Tuesday for commercial alterations to space at 1545 Peachtree Street for the forthcoming restaurant, Tavern Pointe.

This news arrives just months after Streck and the folks behind Seven Lamps opened Midtown concept Grain in the MidCity Lofts building.

Tavern Pointe will replace the now-shuttered LPC (formerly La Pietra Cucina) in the One Peachtree Pointe building (LPC closed its doors in January alongside neighbor Joli Kobe Bakery.)

An estimated $225,000 will be spent renovating the 3,628-square-foot space, according to the application.
