Omar Sharif Townes, owner of Cut Creaters Salon Suites at 142 Mangum Street SW in the Castleberry Hill neighborhood, will open Fitness Motivated in the warehouse portion of the same building.

“I wanted to turn the warehouse into a gym where my employees, customers, and anyone else could work out before or after they come to Cut Creaters,” Townes told What Now Atlanta (WNA) in a telephone conversation Tuesday.

Townes is also a certified personal trainer and will own and operate both Cut Creaters and the forthcoming Fitness Motivated.

Renovations to ready the 6,000-square-foot space will cost an estimated $50,000, according to plans filed with the City of Atlanta this week.

The gym should be open for business by the end of November.
