Delta Community Credit Union is branching into a new city.
The credit union is planning a location in Conyers at 1448 Old Salem Road SE. It will be at Salem Gate Shopping Center, a recently built shopping center near the intersection of Interstate 20 and Georgia State Route 138. The credit union will be next to Floor & Decor.
This will be Delta Community Credit Union’s 31st in metro Atlanta. The branch will be nearly 5,000 square feet and include a team of 10 full-time employees. There will be space for residential lending or financial planning professionals and two 24-hour ATMs.
Delta Community is the state’s largest credit union with more than $8.6 billion in assets and 510,000 members.
“We have proudly served Rockdale County since 2019 and currently count nearly 9,000 local residents as Delta Community members,” CEO Hank Halter said in a statement. “Our institution was founded 85 years ago to offer expert guidance and superior value on the banking services that everyone needs to manage their personal finances. This investment is part of that ongoing commitment and will enable us to bring more choice and convenience to the local market.”
The Conyers branch is expected to open by summer 2025.
