Copper Cove Indian Bistro, which closed earlier this year in Buckhead, won’t sit dark long.
Lawanna Brown is taking over the restaurant space and in its place will open Copper Cove Bistro.
As with “Indian” being dropped from the name, the new restaurant will not serve Indian cuisine.
Instead, the restaurant will offer “American eats with a southern flair,” according to Brown.
It’s unclear when the eatery, at 2991 N Fulton Dr. NE, will reopen.
As an Indian restaurant, Copper Cove was in business for four years.
Its previous owners shuttered the business because it was “time to retire.”
“We thank all of our customers who have been dining in all of our restaurants since the 1990’s,” the previous owners said of the closure on Facebook earlier this year.
“We have truly enjoyed bringing authentic Indian food to Georgia throughout the years.”
