A recent building permit application with the city details a “New C-store building with white box tenant” planned for 3539 Jonesboro Road SE. The one-story building would be about 8,000 square feet, according to the documents.

The documents indicate plans for a wine display, a beverage station and rows of shelves. Several fuel pumps are planned for the site as well.

Shifa Real Estate Investments LLC is listed as the owner of the project.

It was previously reported in 2020 that a Circle K gas station and store from franchise group Gas Express LLC was proposed for the site. It’s not yet clear if Circle K is still the business that will be taking shape at the site.

The property, located off Highway 54, is adjacent to Mission Produce Inc.
