Local Atlanta restaurants and large national chains alike are joining forces to plea with America to support them using the hashtag #GreatAmericanTakeout, posting pictures of eating takeout Tuesday while at home practicing social distancing.

The Great American Takeout is in response to local governments, including the City of Atlanta, mandating that restaurants shutter dining rooms and offer takeout and delivery only during the coronavirus outbreak.

Luckily Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms has included a provision for the sale of to-go alcohol in her Executive Order.
