Developer Third & Urban is putting the final touches on Common Ground, a redevelopment of the former Western Electric Building adjacent the Atlanta Beltline’s Eastside Trail.

Construction on Common Ground is expected to finish late-July in conjunction with the opening of Bazati.

Owned by The Diligence CompanyBazati will be home to various restaurant and retail tenants like a “mid-century department store”: The Brasserie, Taller Maya, Bazati Books, Opari, Blumarino, Monocle, Cinis, Amphora, The Fleur Shop, and a gelateria from former AJC food critic Meredith Ford.

The Brasserie will be a restaurant on the lower level of its retail component that will “transport guests back to Paris circa 1920 when drinks, dining and excellent service met with the energetic pulse of daily neighborhood life.”

On the roof is Estrella, another restaurant concept complete with an open-air bar and umbrella seating, and a list of bubbly and classic Latin cocktails remnant of 1950s Havana and Miami.

New Realm Brewing is already open in the development.

“We are looking forward to completing this project and providing office and retail tenants as well as guests more than one acre of outdoor patio space along the Eastside Trail,” Hank Farmer, a Third & Urban partner, said in a press release Monday.

“The power lines along the entire property are being buried in order to maximize the scenic view of the Atlanta skyline from both the rooftops of Bazati and New Realm Brewing.”

The company has also announced Scott DeMyer at Colliers International will be tasked with leasing the available 33,000 square feet of office loft and retail space.

Office tenants will have the option to build out their own rooftop decks as well.

Common Ground and Bazati are located at 550 Somerset Terrace N.E., Atlanta, Ga. 30306.
