iPic® Entertainment, creators and founders of iPic® Theaters and Tuck Hospitality Group Restaurants, Tuesday announced the signing of a Midtown lease, the company’s first in Georgia.

A nine-screen, 426-seat “luxury” iPic® theater, along with a 6,700-square-foot destination bar/restaurant is planned for a 2020 opening in North American Properties’ “reimagined” mixed-use destination, Colony Square.

“We have had our eye on the Atlanta market for five years now, and the Colony Square redevelopment project allowed us to launch the iPic brand experience into one of the top ten DMAs in the country,” Hamid Hashemi, president, and CEO of iPic® Entertainment said in the release.

“This market has consistently been heralded as one of the most walkable in the nation, making our ground-floor presence at Colony Square all the more impactful in delivering a quality entertainment, dining and experiential destination for arts and culture under one roof.”

iPic® will be the entertainment anchor of Colony Square.

Upon completion, the reimagined Colony Square will comprise approximately 260,000 square feet of retail space, 262 luxury residences, 940,000 square feet of office space and a 466-room hotel.

The iPic® site will also feature a restaurant designed and operated by three-time James Beard Award-winning Chef Sherry Yard to be announced at a later date.

A full-service bar will offer an handcrafted cocktails presented by award-winning mixologist and master sommelier Adam Seger.

“After five years of searching for its first Georgia location, we are thrilled iPic Theaters, along with its incredible restaurant concept, has chosen to call Colony Square home,” David Weinert, partner and senior vice president of leasing at North American Properties, said in the release.

“Known for its luxury seating, farm-to-glass cocktails, chef-driven cuisine and ‘ninja-like’ servers, this is a movie-going experience unlike anything in Georgia. iPic perfectly aligns with our vision of bringing best-in-class, first-to-market concepts to the reimagined Colony Square, and we look forward to delivering this and more ‘retailtainment’ offerings that resonate with our community and enhance Midtown’s Living Room.”

The new iPic® at Colony Square will boast nine auditoriums and seating between 40 and 60.

In addition to viewing the latest Hollywood blockbusters, members and guests will be able to enjoy alternative content such as live shows including magic, comedy, along with gaming competitions and other iPic experiential ticketed events.

“Guests will enjoy their experience in ultimate style in the comfort of iPic’s patent-pending Premium Plus fully reclining leather seating Pods that include courtesy personal pillows and blankets,” according to the release.

“At the touch of a button, guests can summon ninja-like servers to deliver a signature dine in the dark menu by acclaimed three-time James Beard award-winning Chef Sherry Yard in addition to a farm to glass beverage menu by iPic Master Bartender and Advanced Sommelier Adam Seger. ”

iPic®’s auditoriums will be equipped with 4K digital cinema technology and all seats may be reserved ahead of time on iPic’s proprietary reservation.
