As part of the “Friends of Whole Foods Market” program, Cold Cocked Coffee will open in the forthcoming Buckhead and Decatur Whole Foods Market 365 grocery stores, at 3535 Northside Parkway and 1555 Church Street respectively.

The coffee brand “seeks to wrestle away the cutting edge of coffee and tea from the espresso bar model, into something more chef-y and creative.”

Expect coffee cocktails or “cofftails” and pastries, sandwiches, and gelato.

“In the Friends of Whole Foods Market program, the company partners with outside chefs, culinary and lifestyle brands, to bring shoppers innovative in-store experiences,” according to a press release Monday.

“All Friends partners operate as their own store within the walls of Whole Foods Market 365, share Whole Foods Market’s high-quality standards, and have unique expertise in a cuisine, concept or product.”

Los Angeles-based Loteria Grill from Chef Jimmy Shaw is also slated to open in both stores, serving regional Mexican cuisine for all-day breakfast, lunch, dinner, beer, wine, and spirits.

What Now Atlanta (WNA) earlier this year uncovered plans for the soon-to-open Loteria Grill, including the possibility for a rooftop component.

In addition to the California-born Cold Cocked Coffee and Loteria Grill, each store will feature local Atlanta-based juice shops.

Decatur will include homegrown Dtox Juice and Buckhead will be home to Sublime Tree, as reported earlier this year by WNA.
