Seed Factory, a retailer offering a collection of modern baby clothing, toys, and essentials, is gearing up to kick off 2022 with new digs, as the shop announces a move from its tenured home at Westside Provisions District (WSPD) to a refreshed and newly-constructed storefront just down the street, nestled on West Midtown’s Trabert Avenue.

Slated to reopen in its new space on Monday, January 3, the store will open its doors right beside former WSPD neighbors Bungalow and The Kolo Collection, in addition to the much-anticipated Charleston-based eatery, The Daily.
“Westside Provisions has been our home for 19 years, and while we are sad to leave such a great community, we are looking forward to a new chapter,” Owner Rachel Baba said in a prepared statement. “As a small business on the heels of a pandemic, we are so appreciative of the support of our customers who have made this dream a reality, and are excited for the opportunity to continue to grow this passion project of a business that we love so much.”
With Baba’s past experience in the visual merchandising world — she received her MFA in painting from New York’s Pratt Institute — guests can expect to be “floored by both the store’s colorful and chic aesthetics and Rachel’s knack for arranging kid-friendly toys in the most effortlessly beautiful way,” a spokesperson told What Now Atlanta in an email. “The charming book wall will also find its own home in the new space, alongside a playful, open wooden house structure to be set just over the checkout area.”
Baba’s first store opened as a brick and mortar in 2002 offering handmade toys, organic clothing, inspirational books, unique activity kits that inspire creative play and thinking, and other kid-approved extras.
“From researching and connecting with small-batch makers on Etsy, to findings from her own travels and adventures across the world, Rachel’s passion for sustainable, safe, [shop-local and shop small-inspired] products shines through in her store — a retail nirvana where parents, siblings, and anyone shopping for their favorite littles will find everything from under-the-radar products made by local Atlanta makers, handwoven dolls from Peru & German-made wooden toys to hand-poured beeswax skin tone crayons from Brooklyn & toys made with all-natural materials imported from France,” the spokesperson said.
Seed Factory’s new store, at 763 Trabert Avenue NW, and will be open Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Beginning Saturday, January 15, Seed Factory will kick off its semi-annual sale featuring 40 percent off fall & winter clothing. The sale runs through mid-February and is available to shop in-store at the new location and online.
