Situated at 350 Ferst Dr. in the newly-renovated Student Center, Chick-fil-A Georgia Tech will temporarily open for carry-out and mobile ordering for lunch from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Saturday.

Beginning August 15, 2022, guests can enjoy Chick-fil-A during normal business hours of 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Guests of Chick-fil-A Georgia Tech can place an order for pickup on the Chick-fil-A® App.

This restaurant was home to the first licensed Chick-fil-A location, which opened in 1991 on the campus of Georgia Tech. That location was operated by third-party vendors, and it will now be owned and operated by Operator John Diamond — the new Georgia Tech restaurant joins nearly 150 other Chick-fil-A restaurants serving the metro-Atlanta area.

Diamond will be responsible for all day-to-day activities of the business, including employing approximately 50 full- and part-time team members, serving guests and cultivating relationships with students, faculty and the surrounding city of Atlanta.

An Atlanta native and graduate of Southern Polytechnic State University, Diamond brings 25 years of experience as a multi-restaurant Chick-fil-A Operator since 1997. Diamond will continue serving as the Operator at Chick-fil-A Howell Mill and Chick-fil-A West Midtown. No stranger to the Georgia Tech campus, Diamond helped open the first Chick-fil-A licensed location in 1991 as a Team Member.

“I am honored to continue serving Georgia Tech in a greater capacity with this location,” Diamond said. “I look forward to building upon existing relationships with the campus and creating additional jobs for students.”
