After conducting a survey of its guests with more than 5,000 responses, Castellucci Hospitality Group (CHG) starting Wednesday, May 27, will roll out a “staggered reopening” of its restaurants.

The Iberian Pig Buckhead and Sugo Johns Creek will reopen first and CHG plans to bring the remaining restaurants back online in the coming weeks.

In anticipation of the dining room reopenings The Iberian Pig and Sugo will temporarily close starting May 25 (The Iberian Pig will be open that day until 3 p.m.) for sanitization cleanings, set-up, facility changes, and staff training before reopening on May 27.

“All CHG restaurants will be operating in accordance with C.D.C. and state-mandated health and safety guidelines and have taken into serious consideration and based reopening decisions on all guest feedback provided by their recently released restaurant re-opening survey, which received 5,000+ responses,” a company spokesperson Friday told What Now Atlanta in an email.

As part of the reopenings, and in addition to state-issued guidelines, other changes include:

  • Servers will wear masks and gloves
  • Single-use paper menus
  • Service cards at every table for requesting service to reduce the frequency of server and manager visits.
  • Servers will not be actively clearing, resetting, or crumbing tables unless requested.
  • Guests will be greeted with single-use, individually packaged hand sanitizer gel/towelettes & offered paper bags for sanitary mask storage while dining.
  • New ongoing hours (subject to change):
    • The Iberian Pig Buckhead
      • Take out: Mon-Sun, 12 – 9 p.m.
      • Dine-in: Mon-Sun, 5 – 9 p.m.
    • Sugo
      • Take out: Mon – Sun, 12 – 9 p.m.

  1. They have been spamming text messages. I’ve now gotten them from two different numbers from someone there named “Lauren.” Not sure how she got my number since I haven’t been to an Iberian Pig since 2014 and they spammed me for another restaurant, Bar Mercado, that I’ve never patronized.

But I will never go to the restaurant of a company that spams me without my permission. I feel bad for the employees, but I hope this entire restaurant groups goes under.

    1. “but I hope this entire restaurant groups goes under.”
      That’s a bit harsh…
