About a year ago, What Now Atlanta broke the news of Chef Mimmo Alboumeh’s new concept Botica, which opened in the old Watershed space on Peachtree NW at the beginning of this year. We’re stoked to share not only has the eatery thrived over the last ten months–it was nominated by Buckhead Business Association as one of five “Best New Business” 2021–Botica will now channel that success into growth.

Chef Alboumeh has signed a lease for a 4,618 square foot space with an additional 1,500 square foot patio in Phipps Plaza, the recently expanded mall that includes the existing plaza; the new 13-story office tower, One Phipps Plaza; the NOBU Hotel and Sushi Experience; the new Life Time Fitness Building; and the Citizens Food Hall. Botica at Phipps will overlook the plaza’s outdoor event and green spaces.

“We are thrilled to have Botica included as part of Phipps Plaza’s expansion plans, along with Alon’s Bakery and the NOBU hotel and restaurant,” Mimmo Alboumeh, chef/owner of Silver Fork Restaurants, said in a press release. “We were, and still are, looking for Botica locations two and three, and today we sealed the opportunity with Phipps to serve our neighbors in the north Buckhead and Brookhaven areas.”

You can expect the same Mexican-Spanish, chef-inspired cuisine at the new location, which will also channel the same fun and festive atmosphere you’ve come to love at Botica in South Buckhead. Signature dishes include Chef’s seafood paella, and the craft cocktails and brunch offerings always delight. The locally sourced ingredients and in-house smoked meats are the guiding force behind the made-from-scratch menu.

According to the press release, Chef Alboumeh is searching for additional Botica sites.

Botica at Phipps is slated to open in November 2022. Simon Property Group assisted in securing the new space.
