Coming to Alpharetta in Spring 2022, Fogón and Lions will be a modern Spanish-Latin restaurant. An Instagram post reads that the new concept will serve “inventive food and drinks grounded in the culinary traditions of Spain, Central and South America, and the Caribbean.”
Located at 10 Roswell Street, Eater Atlanta reports that the restaurant will feature an open kitchen with a 14-foot, custom-built grill for roasting and grilling meats. Delgado’s aim with his new concept is to get back to the “origin of cooking” and honor his familial roots, such as his grandfather who owned a butcher shop in Puerto Rico.
Delgado is also the owner and executive chef of pizzeria Minnie Olivia, right next door to Fogón and Lions. Delgado has plenty of hospitality experience and previously worked at several Atlanta restaurants including JP Atlanta and New Realm Brewing.
Guests can expect a bit of everything on the menu including unique steaks, seafood, ceviches, churrascos, cheeses, cured hams, tacos and whole roasted meats. “The cuisine at Fogón and Lions is both authentically grounded and innovatively updated for the modern diner,” the restaurant’s website reads.
A lively, Latin-inspired bar will also be a restaurant highlight. Creative cocktails, along with a carefully curated selection of Spanish and South American wines, will be served. Guests can also expect to experience live music.
Details on the grand opening have yet to be announced.
