Charlotte’s The Good Wurst Expanding to Atlanta

European-influenced, New York-style deli replaces Marcello's in Tuxedo Festival shopping center.

Restaurateur Lincoln Clark is bringing Charlotte’s The Good Wurst Co. to Atlanta.

Clark is currently in permitting with the City to bring the eatery to Buckhead’s Tuxedo Festival shopping center, the restauranteur Wednesday confirmed in a brief telephone chat with What Now Atlanta. Clark was not immediately available to comment further as he was in the middle of lunch service.

The Good Wurst Co. bills itself as a “Butcher, Baker, Sausage Maker,” serving the “best wiener links.”

The European-influenced, New York-style deli’s menu is centered around wursts (German or Austrian sausages), burgers, chicken sandwiches, and salads. There’s also an entire fries menu which includes Belgian Frites (French Fries served with European Mayo, Curry Ketchup and Chopped Onions) and Schnitzel Fries (Mushroom Schnitzel Gravy, Cheese Sauce, Dutch Mayo, Frank’s Red Hot, and Green Onions.)

There’s also a breakfast menu made up of Montreal-style bagels, egg sandwiches, and of course, coffee.

The Good Wurst Co. will replace Marcello’s adjacent to CAVA, at 3655 Roswell Rd NE, according to a Tuxedo Festival site plan (shown below.) Construction is expected to total $28,000, according to the permit filing.

Clark launched The Good Wurst Co. in September 2020 with the restaurant’s first location in Plaza Midwood in Charlotte and will soon open the company’s second location in the forthcoming Vantage South End development.

Clark is no stranger to the restaurant business. While The Good Wurst Co. is the restaurateur’s first solo venture, Clark is a co-owner of Charlotte-based Fuel Pizza.
