Michael and Melody Shemtov, who also own and operate Butcher & Bee in Charleston and Nashville, alongside Executive Chef Jacob Hunter will open The Daily in Berkeley Park, at 763 Trabert Ave.

“We believe that food and beverage should have a sense of place, and we look forward to bringing that perspective to our offerings by forming and building on existing relationships with Georgia purveyors,” Michael Shemtov, an Atlanta native, said in the release. “We’re excited to connect with producers, as well as Atlanta locals, from staff to guests and hope to become an everyday part of the community.”

The Daily got its start in Charleston on Upper King Street in 2014 serving a breakfast-centric menu with options like avocado toast, breakfast burritos, coffee, juice, and smoothies. The Atlanta outpost will be more than twice the size of the original.

“We take our food just as seriously as our smoothies and coffee,” Hunter said. “At The Daily you’ll find an emphasis on quality ingredients, and pulling from the Middle East allows us to use bright flavors and spices while keeping the food on the lighter side. You can also expect to find classics like breakfast sandwiches and whipped feta toast.”

The Daily is nearly a year away from its opening. Ownership is aiming for an early 2022 debut.
