It’s the second Atlanta-area location for the Italian bakery.
Carlo’s Bakery on Saturday, September 23 will celebrate the grand opening of its second Atlanta-based kiosk.
The Cumberland Mall Carlo’s Bakery is opening on the heels of the company’s first location which debuted in April at Perimeter Mall.
Both malls are owned by General Growth Properties (GGP).
The Cumberland Carlo’s Bakery is the twentieth location for the brand most known as the setting of the TLC series, Cake Boss.
“I feel like pinching myself every time we’re going to open a new Carlo’s Bakery,” Buddy Valastro, the bake shop’s owner, said in a prepared statement Tuesday.
“As a famiglia, we sit down, we make these plans for the company, and then we’re really accomplishing all of the goals we set for ourselves. I shouldn’t be surprised when it’s happening but I always am. To have the opportunity to create another sweet outpost for people to get one of our amazing cakes for their kid’s birthday, or some cannoli for the whole office, whatever – that’s all really awesome to me. Sharing the recipes of my famiglia with yours is what this is all about.”
Spanning just 300 square feet, the mini-Carlo’s Bakery kiosk offers the brand’s signature desserts including the cannoli, lobster tail, cupcakes and more.
The brand’s traditional ribbon cutting ceremony will be conducted by Cake Boss stars Mauro Castano and Mary Sciarrone at 8:30 a.m. Saturday prior to the bakery’s opening.
