Locally owned café and bakery, Café at Pharr and Sugar Benders, are teaming up once again to open a new location of their joint venture. Owner of Café at Pharr Johnny Liu and Owner of Sugar Benders Veronica Estrada are reportedly bringing their collaborative masterpiece to the 1,662 square foot space that has been empty for the last year. The space is currently undergoing construction.
Sugar Benders first opened in 2012 and began collaborating with Café at Pharr in 2017. The bakery whips up a variety of cakes and cupcakes for life events. Café at Pharr, which has been around since 1993, serves up a popular walnut chicken salad and yoghurt roll, among other healthy plates.
We’re pretty excited to learn the two companies will continue working together in a way that benefits us all. Estrada could not be reached for comment at the time of publication, so we don’t have the details on the opening timeline just yet. Find Café at Pharr and Sugar Benders online for more information.
