Cactus House, a new Midtown Taqueria, could open its doors any day now.

The restaurant, at 1020 Piedmont Avenue NE in the Azure on the Park apartment high-rise, is waiting for its Certificate of Occupancy, according to a post made to the Cactus House Facebook page earlier this week.

While a Grand Opening Party is scheduled for July 20, Owner Emilio Lourdes hopes to open the taqueria “after Fourth of July weekend.”

“After one year of negotiations and six months of construction, I’m proud to announce the opening of Cactus House Midtown, early July,” Lourdes posted to his personal Facebook page Thursday.

“It’s has been an adventure and a huge learning experience for me. I believe we have the best spot in [Atlanta], also once you try our food you won’t find a better taco spot in [Georgia].”

To celebrate its first week in business, the restaurant is offering a free margarita or taco to any patron that snaps a photo of themselves in front of the restaurants rainbow bench and tags the picture on social media.
