The Virginia-Highland location of Cacao will soon become “Cacao Café,” the Atlanta-based chocolate company in a press release announced Wednesday.

The new café will launch May 8, 2015 featuring extended hours and the opportunity to host private events.

“Mainstay favorites such as truffles, bars and macarons will remain, however we have developed an exciting line-up to keep you cool all summer long,” according to the release.

Atlantans can expect a new line of milkshakes, gelato desserts, and a completely new sipping chocolate menu.

New items will include:

  • Milkshakes: Pistachio Cocoa Nib; Salted Caramel Espresso; Malted Chocolate; Aztec Chocolate; Strawberry Waffle Cone
  • Sipping Chocolates: Classic; Aztec; Matcha; Malted with Handmade Marshmallows and Whipped Cream
  • Frozen Sipping Chocolates
  • Sundaes: Gelato Sundaes; Banana Split; Brownie a la Mode
  • Kid’s Hot Chocolate
  • Breakfast Items

Free wifi will also be available for customers as well as back door entrance and “easy” parking access with valet. Free self-parking is available until 11 a.m. Complimentary valet service is available after.

In related news, Cacao is opening a location in the forthcoming Inman Quarter development and the recently-opened Buckehad Atlanta mixed-use project.
