Moving trucks on Monday could be seen hauling away belongings from the burger joint in the Shops at Metropolis, at 933 Peachtree St NE #951.

BurgerIM was open less than a year.

It’s unclear why the restaurant abruptly closed its doors.

Franchisee Devenchie Battle did not respond to What Now Atlanta’s (WNA) request for comment Monday.

BurgerIM has seven remaining Georgia locations, none of which are inside I-285 with the closure of the Midtown restaurant.

That is, of course, until the planned Toco Hills Shopping Center outpost opens later this year.

  1. I live a block away from BurgerIM. I was unaware they had even opened. I never saw any advertising, promotions, etc. None if my friends ever mentioned the place. Several of us attempted to try them out on two occasions months apart. Each time, we encountered a handwritten note on the door “closed temporarily.” How temporary? No idea. It may have been closed “temporarily” for months. After our second attempt, we gave up on BurgerIM. Apparently, many others did too!

  2. They closed because they’re total crap. They used premade patties from US Foods and pretended to call it a burger. This was a huge waste of money and time, and was a terrible joint
