THERE Gastropub on 5th is planned in Midtown on the Georgia Tech campus.
The forthcoming “bar & eatery” is a sister concept to Brookhaven’s THERE Gastropub and will open in space formerly occupied by The Barrelhouse, at 22 5th Street NW.
The Barrelhouse last year relocated from its original Midtown home to Old Fourth Ward and later closed its doors.
Chef’d Up now occupies the corner suite where The Barrelhouse had its short stint.
“We aim to create a place where our customers are just as comfortable in a suit after work as they are in flip flops and a t-shirt,” according to the THERE Gastropub website.
“And, regardless of how you’re dressed, you are always treated with great service, enjoy a craft cocktail or two, and can’t wait to come back and see what Chef has cooked up next.”
Fencing recently went up at the soon-to-be home of THERE Gastropub and construction is underway.
If the new location is anything like the one in Brookhaven, patrons can expect “a chef-driven menu with everything created in-house, from scratch.”
Eats include deviled eggs, bison burgers, House Cured Ham Cuban sandwich, pork won-tons with watermelon-sriracha sauce, truffled lobster mac & cheese, pan-seared salmon, and duck confit.
Co-Owner Bill Brown did not immediately respond to What Now Atlanta’s request for comment Thursday.
