This news comes shortly after Henri’s announcement that it expanded its commissary on the Upper Westside by 3,000 square feet.

“We are incredibly excited to be opening a new retail location later this year in Brookhaven,” Anthony DiNardo, Henri’s Bakery & Deli president and CEO, said. “Henri’s has a deep-rooted history in Atlanta, and this location checked all the boxes required to deliver the Henri’s experience to the people and businesses of Brookhaven. This is a vibrant community that appreciates and supports locally owned small businesses.”

The property, at 2163 Johnson Ferry Rd. NE, is owned and managed by Golden Triangle Holdings LLC, which received an “overwhelming amount of interest” in this location.

“We are honored to have one of Atlanta’s most historic establishments, Henri’s Bakery & Deli, in our neighborhood,” Golden Triangle COO Soren Ludwig said. “Henri’s has been proudly serving its customers for over 90- years. People have asked for a fantastic place to get coffee, breakfast and lunch in this area for decades. Henri’s sandwiches and baked goods are over the top and will be a huge crowd pleaser in our surrounding neighborhoods!”

Henri’s Bakery was established in 1929 by Henri Fiscus. Henri was born in France to French and German parents. He came to the United States in 1921 after WWI, working in restaurants in New York and Rhode Island before arriving in Atlanta as the opening pastry chef of the Biltmore Hotel. Six years later, his passion for creating gourmet baked goods and for serving others led him to purchase a French bakery in Midtown that would become the original location of Henri’s Bakery & Café.

In 2016, Henri’s great-grandson, Anthony DiNardo purchased Henri’s Bakery & Deli. The following year, Henri’s Buckhead transitioned into its current location at 56 East Andrews Drive and expanded the business to include a third store in Atlanta’s Upper Westside neighborhood. This modern, 5,000-square-foot kitchen and retail space houses much of the company’s bakery operations. In October of 2020, a fourth location was opened in Marietta, GA located at the Marietta Square Market. In 2021, an expansion of the Upper Westside location was completed in 2021 providing additional space to operate and help support continued growth for years to come.

“We expect our grand opening to be early this Fall, and we cannot wait to serve our first customers in Brookhaven,” DiNardo said. “This is not only a community I love, but one that I live in, I am so grateful this longstanding dream of mine is coming true.”
