Chef Niko J. Lambrou, the son of Landmark Diner Founder Tom Lambrou, is reopening the 24-hour restaurant.

Lambrou confirmed the news in a telephone conversation with What Now Atlanta but would not provide additional details surrounding Broadway Diner’s reopening.

It could reopen as Peachtree & North, a restaurant and comedy club Lambrou was planning in the space at the of 2017.

Not much work is expected at the space.

Plans in June were submitted to the City of Atlanta for minor renovations to the space—less than $10,000 worth—for new paint, bathroom tiling, and ceiling repairs.

The restaurant has sat closed since mid-2016, at 620 Peachtree Street NE #206.

A reason for the shutter was never disclosed.
