The restaurant group—Max Lager’s, White Oak Kitchen & Cocktails, and Richard’s Southern Fried Chicken—last week submitted the first of several expected building permit applications to the City of Atlanta for the forthcoming brewpub.

Initial plans call for the combining of two warehouse spaces in Third & Urban’s Complex West Midtown development at the corner of Ellsworth Industrial Boulevard and Chattahoochee Avenue.

Complex, home to tenants like Proof of the PuddingLook Listen, and LTX Solutions, is expected to reach a complete lease out by June 2018.

Designed by ASD|SKY, The Bold Monk’s interior will include a mix of stone, wood, concrete, and steel.

John “JR” Roberts, a partner at Brewed to Serve and Max Lager’s brewmaster, developed the beverage program and brewery design.

The Bold Monk was first announced late-2017.
