H.Wood’s Bootsy Bellows To Replace Vanquish/Reign In Midtown

The nightclub will open in the former home of Reign and Vanquish in Midtown alongside two concepts “Bloom” and “Ravine,” according to a liquor license application filed in Atlanta.

The Atlanta Business Chronicle Monday first reported the application filings. Neighborhood Planning Unit-E will hear all three liquor licenses at the December 5 meeting.

Reign and Vanquish shuttered in 2015 and the spaces, at 1021 and 1029 Peachtree Street respectively, have sat vacant since.

Details surrounding the forthcoming Bootsy Bellows are scarce.

“At this time, we cannot disclose any information until all details have been finalized,” a representative from The H.Wood Group in an email late-Monday told What Now Atlanta (WNA).

“We will be sure to keep you posted.”

A website for the Atlanta Bootsy Bellows was registered November 3 and is being “parked” by GoDaddy.

No building permits for the projects have yet been filed but brown paper has gone up at the space and several WNA readers have emailed in this month noticing “construction going on.”

The H.Wood Group—a hospitality and marketing company from actor David Arquette and entrepreneurs John Terzian and Brian Toll—operates a long list of venues including Shoebar, The Nice Guy, Blind Dragon, and Bootsy Bellows.

The company is opening a Dallas Bootsy Bellows and has existing locations in L.A. and Aspen.

  1. Man, Reign and Vanquish were so short lived but totally posh, chic and on point for the area. Looking at videos of Bootsy Bellows online seems like a “nicer dive bar” honestly, and I hope this concept is not like that. That’s a nice area for a hot club! That intersection used to be so LIT. Felt like a real city with Reign/ Vanquish, Loews, Intermezzo below, Juniper a bit further with Joes and Henrys and the restaurant scene of 1080. I’m happy to see something coming none the less.
