Blue Medspa: Opening, Expanding and Rejuvenating

‘Cause The Real Housewives of Atlanta Wanna Be Pampered Without Leaving Their Suburb

John Stupka, owner of Blue Medspa in Midtown, wanted what now, atlanta? to do a story (as any entrepreneur would want). Though Blue Medspa is wonderful, what now, atlanta? only reports on businesses that are opening, closing, expanding and renovating in Atlanta.  Stupka explained that not only was he expanding and renovating, but also that he was opening a new location and that the one thing his plans didn’t include was closing.

With the first location on tenth street in Midtown, the Serenbe Community welcomed the second Blue Medspa location in June, 2009.  Blue Medspa at Serenbe offers many of the services available at the Midtown location, including facials, massage, body treatments, and clinical services such as microdermabrasion and Thermage. Serenbe is a 1,000-acre community located just 30 minutes from Atlanta’s Hartsfield‐Jackson International Airport, with a focus on balanced growth, sustainability, green building, organic farming, and smart environmental practices which suits Blue Medspa well.

The new location gives meaning to Kim Zolciak and her housewife friends of Bravo’s, The Real Housewives of Atlanta (AKA The Really Fake House Whores of Alpharetta) considering Stupka is opening his third location in Alpharetta.  Though the space is uncertain at this time, it has been scouted out and construction begins soon.  Blue Medspa Midtown will also undergo some minor renovations.

  1. Any expansion is a good sign of an improving economy, especially health and beauty that can be the first discretionary spending to go. Love the line “AKA The Really Fake House Whores of Alpharetta.” But I’m sure these future has-beens would focus on appearance before anything else, as fake as it is!

  2. I love Blue MedSpa. Soothing atmosphere. Professional staff. Nicole is a great esthetician. Not many people realize they have a salon also. Sheila is a fantastic stylist.

  3. I love the hair salon. Sheila has been doing my hair for years and I would follow her anywhere. She always has a new idea for my hair and keeps me looking great. She is passionate and really cares for me. I would not look this great without her.

  4. The attention of the staff at Blue MedSpa is unbelievable. I was having my hair colored by the one and only fabulous Sheila Lee yesterday afternoon. I coughed. Sheila knew I had a bottle of water that I was sipping on. However, the front desk immediately, almost before I got the cough out, came with a glass of water. Just a sophisticated / fun atmosphere to be indulged.

  5. Please. This place, especially the midtown location is a wanna be spa that has sub par rooms and services. While they may be up on the latest face altering serums and injections, I’d rather go to one of the finer dermatological experts in this city, and we have plenty. Your excitment certainly doesn’t mask your association with the owners.
