The upscale bar will be situated in a Selig-owned standalone building, at 3402 Piedmont Rd NE.

Roc House Fitness used to occupy the 14,875-square-foot space.

Sal Akturk is the franchise and “corporate partner” bringing Blue Martini to the City, the serial entrepreneur Thursday confirmed in a telephone interview with What Now Atlanta.

Akturk and his partners own and operate a combined 180 Burger King franchise stores across four states and Performance Auto Collision locally.

Blue Martini, currently in the permitting process with the City of Atlanta, could open as early as November 2018, he said.

The Buckhead outpost would join 11 existing locations across Arizona, California, Florida, and Nevada.

“Blue Martini is known as the upscale and contemporary ‘locals bar,’ offering Happy Hour seven days a week, live entertainment and special themed nights such as ‘Ladies Night’ and ‘Industry Night,'” according to the company’s website.

“Equipped with an outdoor patio bar, tantalizing tapas menu, and chic cocktail lounge, [Blue Martini] is the hot spot for both locals and visitors…”

More Atlanta-area locations could open in the future.

For example, Akturk and his team are already scouting “North Atlanta,” looking in markets like Alpharetta.
