With headquarters in Salt Lake City, Utah, and San Antonio, Texas, Black Rifle is a special operations forces veteran-owned coffee company that was founded in 2014 by Evan Hafer, Mat Best, Jarred Taylor, and Richard Ryan. Along with its flagship firearm-themed coffee roast blends, the brand also sells apparel and merchandise.

Black Rifle currently has one other Georgia location in Savannah at 450 Fort Argyle Rd. It’s other locations are in Texas, Tennessee, Utah, Oklahoma, and Florida. It is planning significant expansion over the next two years with the aim to grow its store count to nearly 80. Aside from its shops, the brand sells its roasts online and through national retailers including Sam’s Club, Walmart, H-E-B, Bass Pro Shops, and Cabela’s.

Just last week, the brand announced it was going public through a merger with blank-check acquisition firm, SilverBox Engaged Merger Corp I, in a deal that values the combined company at about $1.7 billion.

As reported by Reuters, the total capital available to Black Rifle at the close of the deal, which is expected to happen during the first quarter of 2022, will be up to $545 million. As part of the deal, the brand will reorganize as a public benefit corporation and is expected to donate more than 530,000 shares to its charitable foundation.

The new East of Main construction is currently looking for more businesses to join Black Rifle.
