Betty Hsu’s Baos is a new concept from Michael Lo and George Yu, the culinary team behind Makan Restaurant & Bar and Mama Tiger.

The food stall will occupy a 420 SF space next to Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams.

Guests can expect to see Makan’s signature Pork Belly Bun and Roasted Duck Bun on Betty Hsu’s menu along with a number of new seafood and vegetarian steamed bun options.

“For Betty Hsu’s, we intend to continue sourcing locally from great producers like Grassroots Farms, Global Growers and Finch Creek Farm as we do at Makan today,” said Yu in a statement issued Tuesday.

As of now, the restaurant is planned to open in Fall 2016.
