Three P Partners—Hyatt House Atlanta/Downtown, Hotel Bella Grace in Charleston—is developing the Marriott Tribute Portfolio hotel and is a co-owner in the project.

The Bellyard moniker was “derived from the original name of West Midtown (Bellwood)” and “communicates the concept of a stockyard which had a large historical presence in the area,” Stephen C. Polhill, a principal with Three P Partners, told WNA in a telephone interview.

“Throughout the hotel, there will be stockyard and railroad-type elements in the design,” Polhill said.

“The neighborhood is overdue for a project like this and we’re really excited about it.”

Bellyard will sit atop two floors of retail currently under construction by S.J. Collins Enterprises, the master developer of The Interlock.

S.J. Collins will deliver the two-floor podium to Three P Partners in October at which point construction on Bellyard will commence.

Once complete, the roughly 110,000-square-foot hotel will feature 161 keys across seven floors of guestrooms.

All common areas, including the lobby, restaurant, bar, and meeting space, will share a single floor.

The restaurant and bar will be in-house concepts and, along with the Bellyard’s interior, are still being finalized.

Pivot Hotels & Resorts, the lifestyle division of Davidson Hotels & Resorts, will manage the property and the in-house restaurant and bar.

Bellyard will deliver in the first quarter of 2021.
