Jim Adams closed down in December, at 2011 Bolton Rd NW #109, and Bellwood has assumed the restaurant’s lease with plans to expand its mobile operation.

“We are indeed in the process of expanding,” Bellwood Co-Owner Charles Norman in an email this week told What Now Atlanta when asked to confirm a permit filing with the City of Atlanta for the planned renovations.

“The restaurant we were sharing a space with ended up permanently closing down back in December, and we made the decision to lease the whole space.”

After a $150,000 renovation of the 2,839-square-foot space, Bellwood will operate a full roastery, coffee bar, and kitchen, Norman said.

Bellwood will serve pastries and a small list of other breakfast and lunch options in addition to its coffees and locally-roasted beans.

Norman did not provide a timeline for the expansion.
