Bell Street Burritos has relocated its West Midtown location to the Old Fourth Ward.

The burrito joint was forced to move after its landlord sold land the restaurant occupied to a national auto parts retailer.

The Burrito joint opened at the Irwin Street Market Friday, Bell Street announced on Facebook this morning.

It has been a consequential couple of weeks: Bell Street Burritos was displaced from our Howell Mill location, we were named Best Burrito in Atlanta by both the readers and critics of the AJC, and finally this Friday and Saturday (Sept. 14 and 15), we will celebrate our Grand Opening at our shiny new location, 660 Irwin Street Atlanta GA 30312.

Bell Street will celebrate its two-day grand opening with food and activities including bingo and a rodeo, according to its Facebook page.

  1. Best burrito? This place is another drop in the bucket of crappy burrito spots in Atlanta. Life was giving them an easy way out and instead of laying down they’re moving to another space. 6 months max till this shuts.

  2. I wouldn’t go so far as to call them “crappy”, but I will say their food was rather bland, and they were closed Sundays, which is insane with all the weekend traffic on Howell Mill.

The Chipotle that’s opening just down the road would have been the death of Bell Street if they hadn’t moved.

  3. would have to agree on the blandness comment… saturday was my first time trying BSB and I was expecting something out of this world delicious considering they tout having the best burrito in atlanta but was very disappointed, especially since they are walking distance from my place. i’ll give it one more shot after they’ve been at irwin for a few weeks but based on other comments, doesn’t look like much will change.
