A new bank location appears to be in the works in Sugar Hill.

Fifth Third Bank would be constructed at 5952 Cumming Highway NE, according to a building permit application with Gwinnett County. The building would be about 1,881 square feet, according to the application.

Atlanta-based architectural and design firm Praxis3 is working on the location.

The site is located across from a Kroger and down the street from a Chase Bank and Region Bank.

Fifth Third Bank is based in Cincinnati, Ohio. The company has more than 1,000 full-service locations across 11 states. There are currently 30 branches of Fifth Third Bank in Georgia, according to a site locator.
