The restaurant has been listed for sale at $195,000.
On the heels of shuttering its original location in East Cobb late-2016, Baked is now closed in Old Fourth Ward, the restaurant’s second and last outpost.
“Baked has closed its doors permanently in Atlanta,” the restaurant on its website this week announced.
“From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for allowing us to serve you.”
The restaurant has since deleted its Facebook page and Google Places has Baked marked as “Permanently Closed.”
But the 2,400-square-foot concept specializing in baked entrées might not be gone for good. The Shumacher Group has Baked listed for sale on its website at an asking price of $195,000.
Baked committed to a 5-year lease with a five-year option to renew, at a monthly rent of $6,100 “all in,” according to the for sale listing.
An estimated $400,000 was spent to open the doors which included the buildout of a “fully equipped kitchen.” The retsaurant was banking “approximately $800,000 and breaking even after paying all expenses and $60,000 chef salary.”
Baked opened its doors in space adjacent Condesa Coffee in the Tribute Lofts late-2015.

Great food, but kind of an awkward location next to a huge, car-centric intersection… isolated might be the best word.
Mediocre food poorly executed in an uncomfortable setting. Will not be missed. In a city that thrives on providing over-priced mediocre to lousy food and service, the extinction of one of those said outlets is not to be mourned over. What is sad is how difficult it is to find a restaurant in Atlanta that provides anything close to excellence. Expensive does not equal excellent. Trendy does not equal excellent. Staff that can barely be bothered does not equal excellent. Atlanta dining needs real help.
