B.142, a ‘hybrid lounge’ from the founder of Corporate Code, would offer hookah, live performances.
James Brashears III, the founder of Corporate Code, a nonprofit program designed to provide career counseling and interview attire to “displaced and disengaged” men in Atlanta, is getting into the restaurant game with the launch of b.142 Bar & Lounge downtown.
Brashears Wednesday posted a Craigslist advertisement seeking to hire bartenders, “hookah experts,” and service and kitchen staff for b.142.
“From conception to reality, b.142 is an experience designed to be the ultimate hybrid lounge, providing a uniquely transitional entertaining atmosphere, recognized to impress the most refined professionals as well as the most sophisticated evening and weekend celebrators,” Brashears III Thursday told What Now Atlanta in an email.
The restaurant, at 142 Mitchell Street, gets its name from a combination of the address and the shorting of “Bistro, Bar, Barroom.”
“With a clear focus and holistic understanding of the Atlanta market, the b.142 brand was created to fill a void fostering an atmosphere that is inviting and comfortable offering premium cocktails and wine, a one of a kind approach to the Hookah experience and an tastefully created diverse menu.”
b.142 will boast a “live stage” that will offer “some of the most talented, cutting edge, diverse entertainment offerings the city has seen in a bar/lounge atmosphere,” according to Brashears III.
