The restaurant is set to open in a 1,400-square-foot space, at 52 Broad St. NW, replacing Ginseng Cafe, a no-frills eatery offering Chinese fare.

AZN Sandwich Bar will serve sandwiches, bowls, and juice.

“Once inspections are finished we are hoping to open by the middle to the end of March,” Owner Jiaka Xu shared with What Now Atlanta during a phone interview Thursday.

Xu wanted to create a quick-service restaurant that served healthy options that “thrilled the foodie’s curiosity and taste buds.”

“We are going to add seasonal specialties in the downtown location, so there will be more seafood, salmon, and shrimp dishes and specialty drinks including AZN tea, boba tea, and fruit tea.”

This will be AZN’s third location in Georgia and the first in Atlanta.

Ginseng Cafe will remain open “for about another month” before officially closing to make way for AZN.

The owner will be retiring and does not have plans to re-open elsewhere.
