AYA is slated to open its doors to the Midtown community in summer 2020.

Owned and operated by four Atlanta area board-certified plastic surgeons, AYA offers a full menu of medical-grade skincare services for all skin types in a “soothing, spa-like environment.”

The new spa at Colony Square is the concept’s fifth location in Atlanta and will feature signature services such as cool sculpting, dermal infusion and injectables, among other products and services.

“We are in the process of strategically expanding our portfolio into dense, urban environments such as Colony Square that attract and welcome a variety of patients,” Jessica Chaney, spa director at AYA Medical Spa, said in the announcement.

“AYA Medical Spa will be Midtown’s one-stop-shop for wellness needs, and we look forward to being part of this destination that already embraces health and wellness, from outdoor fitness classes to ample open-air green spaces to healthy dining options and more.”

The 1,300-square-foot space will be located off 15th Street along the street level of Colony House West, next to Colony Square Eye Care.

In response to the COVID-19 outbreak, AYA closed all locations and launched an online store selling medical-grade skincare products.

The Spa is currently offering 20 percent off total purchases to Colony Square followers through the end of May using the code COLONYSQUARE20 at checkout.

For store reopenings, AYA has put in place several safety precautions including sending patients pre-screening questionnaires before appointments, taking temperatures at check-in, providing staff and patients with PPE if they do not come in with it, offering hand sanitizer and anti-bacterial soap throughout the spa and limiting the waiting room to one patient at a time.

AYA has also partnered with Colony Square to participate in its virtual activation, “From Midtown’s Living Room to Yours,” an initiative created to build community and keep the public engaged while practicing safe distancing.

For today’s Mindful Monday segment, AYA Nurse Practitioner Claudette Corey shared her at-home morning skincare routine, which can be viewed on the mixed-use destination’s Instagram.

“While COVID-19 has introduced unprecedented hardships, it has also given us a chance to slow down and refocus on the things that matter, such as our health and self-care,” Adam Schwegman, partner and senior vice president of NAP, said in the announcement.

“The addition of AYA will provide yet another option for guests, employees, and residents of Colony Square to unwind. We are proud to bring the AYA team’s expertise to our community.”

In addition to AYA, Colony Square will welcome Brown Bag Seafood Co., Holeman and Finch, Rumi’s Kitchen, American Barber Shop, and IPIC this year.

Most recently, Colony Square celebrated the openings of Sukoshi and Freshii in the fall of 2019 and the reopening of Moe’s Southwest Grill at the beginning of 2020.

Upon completion, Colony Square will be home to 160,000 square feet of retail, dining and entertainment space, 940,000 square feet of office space, a 466-room W Hotel and 262 upscale residences.
