Restaurant in The St. Regis will get new glass overhead enclosure and dining space with bar, glass canopies.
Atlas, the in-house restaurant for The St. Regis Atlanta, will soon undergo a massive overhaul of its patio and "surrounding covered walkways."
Plans were recently submitted to the City of Atlanta to renovate the 6,507-square-foot area to the tune of $2,650,000.
Expected work includes a new "glass overhead enclosure," dining space and bar, and glass canopies.
Representatives of the restaurant did not comment on the project or timeline when reached by What Now Atlanta on several occasions last week.
This won't be the first significant overhaul for the three-year-old restaurant since its opening in 2015.
Atlas last year added The Tavern at Atlas—a remodel of the upscale restaurant's library and bar into a more affordable and casual dining option.
[Editor's note: an earlier version of this article listed Gerry Klaskala as a partner in Atlas. The Aria and Canoe founder was "the consulting chef to help open the restaurant" but no longer holds any association.]
