Tim Hortons popularly known for their iconic breakfast sandwiches, donuts, and iced coffees, opened its first store in Atlanta in January 2024. It is a Canadian fast food chain and now has Fairburn, Columbus, and Clayton County locations.
The new locations for Tim Hortons is expected to be in Alpharetta, Johns Creek, and Newnan in the first quarter of 2025. According to their next 5 years plan, Georgia is expected to expand Tim Hortons to more than 30 locations.

The upscale Palestinian restaurant was opened in Suwanee in March 2024. Faiq Usman serves his grandmother’s recipes and they are just brilliant. Dishes prepared with za’atar, cumin, and Palestinian olive oil, make it stand out. Guests are being served spreads, meze, salads, and kebabs for entrees. The mains include lamb shank and housemade falafel. The restaurant pays homage to Palestinian culture with its food and olive trees, which are part of the decor. A pizza spot with entirely plant-based pies has been newly opened – great news for Vegans! All the ingredients used are certified organic, non-GMO, or kosher. Cooked in a combination of New York and Neapolitan styles, the vegan Pizzas do not disappoint. It’s not just the pizzas, the salads and the tiramisu served for dessert are pretty great too. Taking the diners on a culinary ride to Scotland, the popular Chef Kevin Gillespie opened Nàdair in May 2024. The menu at the restaurant pays homage to Gillespie’s Scottish heritage and boyhood trips. Diners will be able to get a taste of the chef’s special woodfire cooking. Gene’s BBQ opened in July 2024 and has been serving East Lake since July 2024. The owner, Avery Cottrell, realized his dream of opening a restaurant for Viet-Cajun barbecue and comfort food. The ambience of the place is simply fun.
The smiling cartoon cat welcomes guests at the front door and the 22-foot fiery red alligator in the dining space. As for the food, smoking meats and classic dishes from seafood shacks are all quite great. For more information, visit the official website.

Torchy’s Tacos opened in West Midtown in August 2024. The Austin-based fast-casual restaurant chain made its debut in Atlanta this year. They are known for their inventive tacos which are served with sides, and margaritas. Much like in the 125 other locations, they have been received well in Atlanta. Bringing in the South American vibes, Las Margaritas reopened in September 2024. The restaurant was shut down in 2021 after a fire forced it to. The new Spanish tapas bar, La Metro, was opened at the Ponce City Market on October 30. Chef Hector Santiago (of El Super Pan) brings in a spectacular expression of rich Spanish traditions.
