The race route will take runners through the heart of downtown Atlanta, passing by iconic landmarks and through its vibrant streets. It will start and finish at Pemberton Place, home to the Georgia Aquarium and World of Coca-Cola. The course will then wind through Centennial Olympic Park, a legacy of the 1996 Olympics. Runners will also pass by the Mercedes-Benz Stadium, the Georgia World Congress Center, and lively cityscapes. They will get to experience a mix of Atlanta’s history, culture, and modern energy. The full race course map is available.

Notably, there will also be a wheelchair division for the race. Participants in a wheelchair or with disabilities do not require any special qualification. The race for these participants will commence at 8:25 AM, 5 minutes before the start of the race for the other athletes.

The race awards will be distributed at a ceremony at 9:40 AM in the stage area after the race. The overall awards will be based on Gun Time, and the Age group awards will be based on Chip Time. However, there will be no finisher medals, as the costs will be used to help the homeless.

Participants in the 5K race can also participate in peer-to-peer fundraising. The “Miles for Hope,” a fundraising challenge, will award exclusive 5K merchandise to each participant who raises $500 through their own fundraising page. For more information on the race, check out the official website.
