[Infographic] 31 Breweries Have Opened In Georgia Since 2012 Bringing Total To 69

Georgia is currently home to 69 breweries and brewpubs, according to JLL’s new Georgia’s Craft Breweries report.

Half of those breweries and brewpubs are located in the metro-Atlanta area and 31 have been added to the market in the past six years alone.

In 2017, new legislation in Georgia allowed beer manufacturers to sell directly to customers from the brewery, making way for a string of new “own premise” breweries and brewpubs.

  1. Another interesting beer fact. Atlanta Brewing Company (formerly Red Brick)(also formerly Atlanta Brewing Company) is Georgia’s oldest craft brewery.

  2. I count 125 breweries in Georgia – many missing from this list including the newly opened Lost Druid in Avondale Estates and Sceptre Brewing Arts in Oakhurst. Heck you don’t even have Terrapin on the list.
